Anxiety Impacts Relationships
Anxiety through its emotional and physical symptoms causes people to focus excessively on themselves. While this is understandable, it shifts focus away from maintaining satisfying relationships and over time the quality of your relationships decline.
Anxiety is the body’s response to everyday problems. However, when this reaction becomes excessive or is not appropriate for the situation, then the anxiety becomes an issue.
Anxiety can have psychological and physical symptoms. The psychological symptoms include changes in mood, worrying, difficulty in concentrating, overemphasising the degree of threat, wishing to escape situations and general restlessness. Physical symptoms include sweating, shaking, dizziness, palpitations, nausea and a dry mouth.
Anxiety can be powerful and quickly dominate individuals experiencing anxiety. Fortunately, through examining the issues trigging anxiety, understanding the meaning that you are attaching to the issues we can introduce practical techniques to deal with situations as they arise.
